BRENDAN MCGURGAN
DIRECTOR & CO-FOUNDER
Brendan, a qualified chartered accountant and chartered director, brings 25 years of experience scaling businesses.
Most recently, Brendan, spent 16 years as a global business leader with CDE. 12 of those as Group CEO, steering the company through the global financial crisis to considerable scaling success (achieving cum revenues of £0.5bn) establishing offices on 6 continents employing almost 700 people across the world (from 15) and 25x revenue growth. Under his tenure CDE became the #1 global player in their industry.
He retired from the main business in 2019 prior to establishing Simple Scaling but remains on the board of CDE Asia, an Indian based company established by the Group in 2006, to support their aim of listing on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
In acknowledgement of Brendan’s scaling success he was awarded overall UK Director of the Year in 2018.

CLAIRE COLVIN
DIRECTOR & CO-FOUNDER
Claire Colvin is an experienced leader, specialising in building the right people-centred systems to accelerate scaling. She is also one of the most revered scaling coaches in Ireland. CIPD qualified with a Masters in Human Resource Management, she draws on over 25 years’ experience in high growth SMEs, global organisations and major UK PLCs, enabling her to identify the right solutions to build world class teams.
Former Talent Director on the Board of a scaling organisation, Claire built the right people centred structures and systems to enable the company to scale across 8 global regions.
Prior to that, she spent 15 years with an award winning, technology SME, growing the team both organically and through acquisition in a highly competitive environment.
Passionate about building high performing teams through trust, self- awareness and diversity, Claire specialises in attracting great talent, building organisational capability and creating the right environment for people to thrive.
